To provide a place for God's people to worship and study His Word. We believe that it is imperative for God's people to be equipped for the work of the ministry that He has called each believer to be involved in.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe the Bible is the Word of God inspired and without error in It's original manuscripts. It is our only source of authority in matters of faith, conduct and truth.
We believe Jesus is the eternal, pre-existent Son of God. He willingly took on the body of a man, was virgin-born, became our sinless substitute, shed His blood on the cross to completely pay for the atonement of our sins. We believe He died, was buried, resurrected in a literal body, ascended into Heaven, and is presently our advocate and only High Priest.
We believe there is one eternal God, personal and knowable who manifests Himself in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is worthy of our worship, confidence and obedience.
We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict the lost, seal the believer and place him or her in the Body of Christ. The fruit of the Holy Spirit in one's life is love. We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit, but we do not believe that any special gift is a necessary evidence of salvation or of being filled with the Spirit.
We believe every person is born with a sinful nature, is spiritually dead and cannot please God until Christ gives him life. We believe salvation from sin, death, and hell is by God's grace. It must be received by faith apart from any human performance or merit. It is a free gift of God to one who personally places his confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross. We believe a truly born again person is secure in Christ.
We believe that all believers should assemble in local churches for mutual edification, encouragement, evangelism, service and worship. Within our fellowship, as an act of obedience to the Word of God, we share our love of Christ through participation in the signs of the New Covenant: The Lord's Supper and Baptism by immersion in water.
Attending a new church can be intimidating. You may have dozens of questions running through your mind. Which door should I enter? Where do I take my children? What should I wear? We want to set your mind at ease, so here are some frequently asked questions about our church.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Our worship services are centered on Jesus Christ. Each Sunday, families gather to exalt the Lord together through relevant music, passionate prayer, and sermons that go through the Bible verse by verse. Everything we do is grounded in God's Word.
All of the services at Calvary Chapel center on teaching the Bible, fellowship, worship and prayer. Because we study God’s word you can expect to be spoken to by the Lord. Because we fellowship you can expect to be encouraged through God’s people. Because we worship you can expect to sense the presence of the Lord. Because we pray you can expect God to be at work in your life.
WHEN DOES CCMH MEET?
Our main service meets on Sundays, starting at 10:30 am and goes to about 12:30 pm.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
People dress in whatever way they feel most comfortable. One person may wear blue jeans and a t shirt while another may wear a dress with high heels. Please don't worry about your attire, it doesn't matter what you wear, you'll fit right in.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS? DO YOU HAVE CHILDRENS MINISTRY?
We provide a teaching children's ministry and child care during the main services.
We are committed to Biblical teaching, through songs, Bible stories, games, activities, and crafts to help our children grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. They also learn how they might apply the things they have learned that week to their personal lives and are encouraged to live it out at home and at school.
Each of our volunteers are screened for your child's safety. Additionally, a child identification process promotes security for your child. We believe your child will love the creative teaching and age-appropriate activities provided.
HOW WILL I FIND MY WAY AROUND?
At 456 E. Mission Rd, San Marcos, CA, you will find ample parking and enter through a door clearly marked with a Calvary Chapel sign overhead.
If you have young children or infants, our Children’s ministry is located through the door on the left side of the building or, after you enter through the main entrance, straight through the sanctuary.
The restrooms are through the same doors, toward the back of the building.
Greeters and ushers are located at the door to assist you in finding everything you need.
DO I NEED TO BRING A BIBLE? CAN I USE YOUVERSION OR OTHER BIBLE APPS DURING THE SERVICE?
Our pastor teaches from the New King James Version. Bring whatever version you are most comfortable using. And feel free to use your Bible app on your phone or tablet.
HOW DO I SUPPORT THE CHURCH?
We do not pass a collection plate. For those who desire to give, there is a basket provided in the back of the church.
"Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9:7-8
I NEED PRAYER/ ADVICE. WHO DO I TALK TO?
We have different resources depending on your needs and requests. On Sundays, you may tell an usher, member of the Worship team, or the Pastor that you would like to speak with someone for ministry and they will direct you to the right person. After the service you may come and talk to the pastor or ministry team for prayer. During the week, you can contact the office at (760) 224-5506 or you may submit your prayer requests on the site and the prayer team/staff will pray for your needs.
